Applications and requests for various permits that are listed on this page may be downloaded, printed, filled in, and mailed or brought to the Town Clerk’s Office, along with the applicable recording and application fees. Also downloadable are Minutes of board meetings, zoning by-laws, etc. Fees are noted, as well as the file type and size. In order to read and print the PDFs, you’ll need Adobe® Reader® which can be downloaded free via this link. Note: most computers have Reader® pre-installed, but you’ll probably need at least version 5.

  • State Notice of Changes to subdivision permitting requirements ('05) [PDF 85k]

  • Zoning Permit Application  [PDF 1MB]   $8 recording fee, plus:
    Residential uses...
      • New dwellings/apartments—$75/unit
      • Barn, garage, shed, renovation and major addition (200+sq.ft.) replacement—$50
    Commercial uses & structures...
      • New Comm. construction—$0.15/sq ft ; $100 minimum fee
    Other permits...
      • Temporary use, signs, minor additions (under 200 sq.ft) —$30
      • Change of Use—$50
      • Conditional Use—fee determined at time of application
      • Subdivision, planned residential development—$125 per lot

      • Commercial $4,200, plus Allocation Fee
